What are the requirements to register for this benefit?
Firstly, the Social Electricity Tariff was designed for low-income families, the elderly and people with disabilities who have an electricity bill.

- Be registered in the Single Registry, with a monthly income of up to half the minimum wage per person;
- Over 65 years old or disabled with BPC;
- Family with income of up to 3 minimum wages, disabled and requiring appliances that consume electricity.

- Single Registration: if you are already part of CadÚnico, just keep your registration updated so that the benefit is automatically granted. For those not registered, look for CRAS and register.
- Continuous Payment Benefit: if you are over 65 years old, or have a disability, and receive the BPC from Social Assistance, you are already entitled to the Social Tariff;
- Illness or disability: if you have a monthly income of up to 3 minimum wages and someone in your family needs appliances that consume electricity, simply present a medical report to the responsible electricity distributor.
