The Pernabucano championship is a state football championship in Pernambuco.
The competition precedes the Copa do Brasil and the Brasileirão, where 13 clubs seek to win the state title.
How does this championship work?
Namely, in the Pernambuco championship, the state's professional teams face each other in matches.
In 2023, for example, matches are played between January and April.
The winner of the championship can participate in the Copa do Brasil.
The following teams will participate in the Pernambuco state football championship in 2023:
- Drowned,
- Beautiful garden,
- Caruaru City;
- Central;
- Ibis;
- Maguary;
- Nautical;
- Harbor;
- Petrolina;
- Retro;
- Willow tree;
- Holy Cross;
- Sport.
The championship is currently in its 10th round. Games take place on Saturdays and Sundays.
So, see the dates of the next games:
- 02/25 at 4:30 pm: Caruaru City X Sport
- 02/25 at 5pm: Afogados X Maguary
- 02/26 at 3pm: Belo Jardim X Central;
- 02/26 at 4pm: Íbis X Náutico
- 02/26 at 5pm: Salgueira X Porto-PE;
- 04/03 at 3pm: Retrô X Petrolina.
In the last edition, held in 2022, Náutico became champion of the Pernambuco state football championship.
This same team also secured victories in 2020 and 2021.
In 2019 he lost the title to Sport, another great team in the state.
How to watch Pernambuco games live?
This year the games will be broadcast in three different places.
Those who live in Pernambuco can watch them for free on Rede Globo, on Saturdays.
On the other hand, it is also possible to watch the competition for free on the FPF YouTube channel.
There is still the option of watching the Pernambuco championship live on pay-per-view.
This year it does not belong to Rede Globo (SporTV), but rather to the DAZN channel.
