What is the Paranaense Championship live?
This is the state championship of Paraná. It has 12 teams that participate annually, and the 2 with the worst score in the first phase are relegated to the next year.
However, the champion of the competition represents the state of Paraná in the Copa do Brasil, where they face teams from all over the country.
Firstly, there are 11 rounds in the first phase, in which 12 teams participate. However, in the second phase only 8 teams participate, and the 2 with the fewest points are relegated.
In the second phase, the quarter-finals, the teams face each other according to their classification.
However, the first one takes the eighth, the second one the seventh and so on.
Then, there are the semi-finals and the final. In fact, the latter is played in two matches: each team plays at home and at the opponent's home.
However, the championship will continue until the beginning of April, when the final matches will take place and the 2023 Paranaense champion will be defined!
In 2023, the following teams will participate in the Paranaense games live:
- Athletico-PR;
- Coritiba;
- Worker;
- Cianorte;
- Maringa;
- FC Cascavel;
- Saint Josephian;
- London;
- Aruko;
- White River;
- Azure;
- Iguazu Falls.
The competition is currently in its 11th round, which will have the following games:
- 26/02 – Worker X Coritiba;
- 26/02 – Londrina X Athletico;
- 26/02 – Cascavel X Foz do Iguaçu;
- 26/02 – Cianorte X Aruko;
- 26/02 – Azuriz X Rio Branco;
- 26/02 – Maringá X Sao Joseense.
In the 2022 championship, Coritiba was crowned champion.
However, in 2021 the title was won by Londrina, while in the previous three years Athletico was the winner.
How to watch the games in this championship?
Unfortunately, live Paranaense games are not shown on open television.
Finally, this year they are being broadcast by NSports and Furacão Live.
